CANARTA's editorial team chooses each portrait independently — but the door is open to every Canadian artist who wants to be part of the network. Throughout the year, portraits are published online. At year's end, the strongest stories are deepened and gathered into the Annual Book.

Answer the way you'd tell a friend over coffee, not the way you'd write an artist statement. The messy version is usually the good one.
